Four Winds joined the burgeoning BC craft beer scene and opened their doors to a public thirsty for new local offerings on June 1, 2013. Owned, operated and built from the ground up by the Mills family and friends, we are inspired by the Four Winds in gathering flavours from around the world to create our unique West Coast and European styles. We take great pleasure in the application of new world innovations while staying true to old world techniques. Motivated by the limitless potential of beer, as well as the great brewers who came before us, we aim to craft bold beers with character, depth and balance.
At the heart of this distinctive West Coast IPA stands the juxtaposition of ripe tropical fruit esters and Wild Yeast funk. Moderately bitter and gracefully balanced. Where orchards meet pastures.
Keller “Mike” is a foeder fermented keller pils that we brewed in collaboration with Brassneck. Kellerbier literally translates to “cellar beer” and is an unfiltered, unpasteurized lager. We brewed “Mike” using all German malt. It was dry-hopped with American Laurel and German Hallertau Mittelfrüh hops. Refreshing, light, and full of flavour, this pilsner is both unique and bold making for a beautifully simple beer.
In pursuit of sour, complex acidity balanced by tropical fruit esters, gives way to a clean, tart finish.
Coming in at a nice and light 4.2%, Ten is a dry-hopped table saison bursting with tropical flavours, making this an extremely satisfying summer beer.
